I cannot speak highly enough of Mr Rai and Nurse Joanne Passmore as I received excellent treatment on my visit to PCC today. I had been dreading attending this appointment but they were both so kind and considerate that I felt comfortable and at ease.They make a brilliant team. Mr Rai explained everything to me and listened to my concerns, he was professional but really easy to talk to. He must see hundreds of patients but at the time of my appointment I felt I was the most important to him. I needed to see Mr Rai again after my initial appointment but time was found for this and arranged easily through Nurse Joanne who was happy to answer some of my perhaps obvious questions.
I was impressed by by whole experience today, the receptionist, Diane, was friendly and professional and my appointment was on time.

Not a good experience....but nurses lovely and attentive.
I tried to explain what a certain heart condition i suffered that was relative to SCAD.(spontaneous coronary arterial dissection)
its believed that these types of heart attacks,are hormone related.so hense the chat about hormone contraceptive pills,wasnt interested and found him very nonchulent and dissmissive.....which made me feel incredibly uncomfortable.....perhaps Dr adlam from leicester cardiovascular unit would enlighten this dr.

Thank you for the feedback. You informed me you were on the progesterone only pill and this controlled your periods. You then requested to be sterilised- stating you had been informed that SCAD was secondary to hormones. I informed you, should you go ahead with sterilisation, that your periods may well return to being heavy as they were before you commenced the progesterone only pill. You then stated that you could continue with the progesterone only pill after you had been sterilised. I informed you that you did not require sterilisation if you were going to continue with the progesterone only pill. As you can appreciate SCAD is currently being researched world wide and as yet no conclusive causative factor has been linked to this condition. Many thanks Mr H Rai

Mr Harnek Rai is wonderful doctor and I'm very thankful that he did surgery for me. Surgery wasn't easy but doctor did his best. I was very worried about scar which gonna stay on my body after surgery for rest of my life(biggest worries was that scar will look ugly) but Mr Rai did his job very professionally. When I went to GP to remove stitches nurses was saying that you were very lucky with your surgeon, he did very accurate scar.
So I would like to say huge Thank You, Mr Rai!

Dr Rai is a excellent doc he listens to you he makes u feel comfortable under embarrassing situations he will also go through all the options that there is for your treatment and see which one u would like . . He asks how u feel and if u have any questions .he is a very understanding doctor I have had previous operations with doc Rai and I couldn't ask for better treatment and care .I personal feel that there can be no improvement as I am completely satisfied with the care of doc Rai
